17th International Congress of Developmental Biology

Following its extremely successful 2009 Congress in Edinburgh, UK, the International Society of Developmental Biologists (ISDB) is pleased to announce that its next quadrennial Congress will be held in Cancún, Mexico, in 2013.

The venue was selected by the ISDB Board following a proposal by the Mexican Society for Developmental Biology (SMBD, XI Congreso de la Sociedad Mexicana de Biología del Desarrollo) and the Latin-American Society of Developmental Biology (LASDB, VII Latin American Society of Developmental Biology Meeting), which have agreed to act as local organizer for the Meeting. We welcome the "Society for Developmental Biology" for joining the International Congress with its 72nd Annual Meeting.

Cancún is a city of international tourism development certified by the World Tourism Organization.

Located on the northeast coast of Quintana Roo in southern Mexico, Cancún is the gateway to the Riviera Maya and the Yucatán interior, which has numerous archaeological sites, such as Chichen Itza, Cobá and Tulum as well as the many cenotes such as Ik Kil.
